MCNAI is a culinary and culture studio based in Tokyo and New York. MCNAI aims to cultivate new perspectives and creative ideas by crafting spaces where people and cultures connect through the medium of food.
The process of eating food is not only an act driven by physiological needs but also a “cultural catalyst” that, often unintentionally, nurtures relationships among people from different backgrounds and connects cultures that might have never intersected otherwise. MCNAI engages in a range of practices, including the publication of a research magazine and pop-up restaurants, to explore and express this concept.
